Yun Wu, which literally means cloud and mist, is something of a generic name for green tea. We believe it is appropriate to use it for this particular tea because it evokes the misty mountain gardens in which this tea was grown along the western edge of Zhejiang Province. Their land is 500-600 meters above sea level. At this altitude, thick clouds cover the land. This cloud cover both helps to keep the garden's tea bushes moistened by the mist and also provides welcome shade from direct sunlight. This excellent climate produces thick-leafed tea rich in flavorful amino acids.

Moisturized by the clouds and mist of the high mountains, Gao Shan Yun Wu Wu tea is one of our most elegant green teas. It is characterized by a rich aroma and a mild, robust flavor. Gao Shan Yun Wu leaves are twisted into small spirals due to a unique twisting process during which the leaves are placed in a round bamboo basket and then hand twisted into strips.
